If you’re looking for a recipe to make a Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri with fresh ingredients, this is the recipe you want to try!
Frozen Strawberry Daiquiris are another one of my favorite cocktails that I enjoy in the summer, but did not get a chance to blog about them until now. They are refreshing and yummy, plus with strawberries in season during the summer months, they are affordable to make with fresh ingredients.
This is a rum cocktail that I like to serve at picnics and family get-togethers when I have a crowd of people over. There’s no reason you can’t have these in the winter too, but a Strawberry Daiquiri that is frozen is really perfect for summer.
If you happen to love Frozen Strawberry Daiquiris, one of the things I noticed is that mixing this cocktail using fresh strawberries, makes it taste even better. In this recipe, I take fresh strawberries and freeze them, but you can also use organic strawberries that already come frozen in a bag, (without sugar or syrups).
Ingredients for 1 Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri
2 oz. Light Rum
4 Fresh, ripe strawberries with stems off (frozen)
1/2 oz. Lime Juice
1 oz. Simple Syrup
6 to 8 Ice cubes
Orange slice, strawberry and cherry for garnish (optional)
- Combine the rum, strawberries, lime juice, simple syrup and ice cubes in a blender and mix into a smooth icy, drink mixture.
- Garnish with fruit and serve.
I don’t think I will stop serving this cocktail, just because summer in New England is over. I think I’ll just serve it a bit less frozen this winter, and add a Santa swizzle stick to it.
