I have been given the opportunity to review the Emior Facial Skincare line which includes the Emior Anti-Aging Serum, Emior Eye Cream, Emior Gel Cleanser and Emior Fruit Exfoliator. I’ve been using these four products on my face, together for a couple of weeks to see how well this skincare regimen works for me.
Normally, I am really hesitant to try anything new on my skin, but because Emior products contain many natural ingredients, I gave it a try. Although these four products were sent to me from Emior at no cost, the opinions of the products are my own and have not been influenced in any way. So, let’s take a look at each product.
Emior Anti-Aging Serum
This anti-aging serum is a pleasantly light and non-greasy cream. It absorbs right into the skin without any residue, which is nice. Since I have combination skin, I really like that it’s non-greasy. I did have a few small breakouts using this serum, but very minimal.
I do think after using it for two weeks, it made my facial skin brighter and smoother, and I continue to use it every morning. I also noticed that it seems to diminish small skin imperfections. However, I’ve been using it on a larger dark spot and that is taking longer to fade away. Overall as a stand-alone face serum, I was impressed with the product.
Emior Eye Cream
This is interesting eye cream because like the serum, it’s not greasy in any way, but moisturizes under-eye skin very well. This eye cream works well at night, or under makeup during the day. What I was interested in seeing was if this could fade under-eye dark circles. My dark circles are pretty profound so this eye cream didn’t make a huge difference there. I think maybe it faded them slightly around the edges, but not enough to notice a difference that much.
As for fine lines, this cream has done a pretty good job at making them look diminished. The cream has a contoured tip applicator that you can use to massage the cream gently into your under-eye skin which I liked using. I feel like the more I use this eye cream the more improvements I see, so this one gets thumbs up from me.
Emior Gel Cleanser
If you are looking for a very gentle cleanser, this one is extremely gentle. It has a fresh scent and gently cleans your skin while it moisturizes. The one thing I didn’t like is that it really doesn’t lather up. For me, I hoping for something with more foaming and lather action.
But, the Emior Gel Cleanser really doesn’t work up much lather. So, if you want something sudsy, this is not it. Still, my skin feels smooth when I use it. I just think that for my combination oily skin, I’d like more suds. With that said, if you are going to use this cleanser with the Emior exfoliator, your skin will feel cleaner than using the cleanser alone. Of the three products, this one impressed me the least.
Emior Fruit Exfoliator
The Emior Fruit Exfoliator is a pleasant surprise. The product is a lightweight cream that scrubs very gently. It’s not overly abrasive, but you can feel the fine particles scrubbing, without leaving skin too tight.
What’s nice about this exfoliator is that it won’t make your skin feel too tight, because the exfoliating beads are super-fine. And after a quick face washing, it rinses away easily, leaving you with a clean feeling. This exfoliator I would use once a week. It really makes the moisture and oils in my skin feel more balanced.
Overall I realized that there were both positive and negative aspects to Emior.
On the positive side, the eye cream and anti-aging serum make my skin look and feel healthier. Both these products work well at night and under makeup. The packaging of the products and containers are lovely and the scent of these products are fresh. The eye cream is really my favorite of them all.
On the negative side, I didn’t feel the cleansing gel had enough lather to it, although it seemed to clean. It just wasn’t what I had hoped. Also on the negative side was that each individual product seems a bit pricey. Since these are newer products, I hope to see more reviews on them and eventually see a decrease in price.
